Our church has a variety of “Caring Communities” for adults. These groups meet Sunday mornings, during our Education hour,
10:30 -11:30 am. As we all know, hanging with someone who is going through a lot of the same stuff you are can be a real blessing and a source of support. That is why our Caring Communities are designed with your “age and stage” in mind.

The Family Circle is a group of folks busy raising their children. You will find them at wrestling matches, choir concerts and making costumes for the spring play. They are checking backpacks for homework, and signing up to bring treats to the Valentine party. They are praying for their kids, and bringing them to church, knowing that they need the support of others to manage all that their families are demanding of them. If you still have children at home, this would be a great place for you to hang out! At the moment this group is going through a study called “Bad Boys of the Bible.”
Cross Roads is mostly made of “empty nester” types. You could say they are all the “cross roads” of life! Some may still have older children at home, but for the most part, their children are on their own. Some of those in this group have no children, and there are even a few that are not married – they just like the other folks there, and they enjoy the material this groups uses. Currently this group of rowdies is going through a book called “Inside Islam.”
Second Halfer’s is for those on the go! Don’t call them retired, don’t call them Seniors, call them active! This is a group of individuals, some of whom are officially retired, many are still working, but they all are at a place in life where they have a measure of freedom. They can pick up and travel if they like, and how they enjoy watching the grandkids. They always have an empty chair just waiting to be filled by a guest. Maybe that chair is for you? This group just finished a study on spiritual gifts, and has now moved on to a study of the Biblical book of Revelations.
