Buying a Home, Step-by-Step

If you've got a Chandler, Arizona real estate agent working for you, buying a home is easy.  Chandler, Arizona real estate or property elsewhere, a Chandler real estate agent can make it a series of easy steps.

Step 1--Make a "wish list" for your new home.  Do you want Chandler Arizona real estate? Phoenix area?  Pool?  One-story?  Come up with the criteria for your next home.

Step 2--Get "pre-qualified."  If you want Chandler Arizona real estate or Phoenix area property, it's best to know what you can afford.  As a Chandler Arizona real estate agent, I recommend having a loan officer help you figure out your budget.

Step 3--Property Search--whether it's Chandler Arizona real estate or something else, use the searches on this website to get an idea of what's available.  Then contact me, a Chandler Arizona real estate agent to find your dream home.

Step 4--Make an offer!  With my experience as a Chandler Arizona real estate agent, I'll make sure the offer is beneficial to you.

Step 5--Open Escrow--with an accepted offer, we'll 'open escrow.'   Escrow is a  neutral third party acting as a clearing house for exchange and distribution of documents and funds.  This is true for Chandler Arizona real estate transactions or any Phoenix area real estate.

Step 6--The 'inspection period' gives the buyer ten days where professionals examine the house for structural faults, non-working items, termites and more.  If the inspection reveals something unacceptable to the buyer, he can cancel the contract.  With my experience in Chandler Arizona real estate, I'll help this go smoothly.

Step 7--Appraisal & Loan Qualification--Your lender will have an appraiser examine and attach a value to to the property.  If that value is lower than the sales price, the lender won't finance the purchase and the buyer can either cancel the contract or negotiate the sales price down.  Again, my Chandler Arizona real estate experience will help you here.

During this time, your lender will determine if you qualify for the loan based on your finances.  Not qualifying means you can cancel your contract.  As your Chandler Arizona real estate agent, I'll work closely with the lender to help you.

Step 8--Closing the Transaction—You’ll sign financing and title documents to take possession of your Chandler Arizona real estate or Phoenix area property!
