Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport is the fifth busiest in the country.  Companies like Motorola, Intel, Honeywell, Boeing and Allied Signal have major facilities here, which attract thousands of new residents annually.

Like sports?  The Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks play downtown.  Neighboring Glendale, a short drive from Phoenix, has Arizona Cardinal football and the Phoenix Coyotes.  Along with 7 Major League Baseball teams that have spring training in the Valley, there are two NASCAR racing events in Phoenix every year!

Along with great hiking on Camelback and South Mountains, Phoenix has plenty of outdoor fun!  Phoenix has 207 city parks, 18 municipal golf courses and over 400 miles of bicycle paths.

Every major concert act comes through the Phoenix area.  You can catch shows at huge venues like Cricket Pavillion, U.S. Airways Arena and the Dodge Theater.  Don’t forget cultural activities like the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera and shows at the Herberger Theater.

To show you how big Phoenix is, there are over 30 school districts and 500 schools.  There’s plenty of higher education also, with Arizona State University in nearby Tempe, a downtown Phoenix ASU campus and many community colleges nearby.
